It is our firmly held conviction that high-end technology and great design are not mutually exclusive. As a result, the Bang & Olufsen Advanced Sound System not only sounds perfect, but it is also exceptionally beautiful. We aimed to make the system appear coherent and exclusive, with a design that blends seamlessly into the car’s interior. Its hairline marker light accentuates the upper finishing of the aluminium grille, which highlights the Bang & Olufsen logo’s dynamic curves and laser mark. Above all, design highlights such as the acoustic lens do not only ensure that every passenger in the car enjoys clear and natural sound, but they also serve to make acoustic excellence visible.

Premium Sound System
An acoustic masterpiece
Bang & Olufsen engineers are at the top of their game: to get a feel for what passengers would hear in each of the Audi’s seats, they analyzed how sound was distributed with the highest psycho-acoustic precision. To this end, the Danish Tonmeisters placed the loudspeakers in such a way that they could break the feed down into spatial components. With the Fraunhofer Institute’s ingenious Symphoria® Upmix algorithm, Bang & Olufsen engineers perfected the Premium Sound System with hours of meticulous tuning. As a result, it provides natural and authentic 3D sound that goes beyond traditional surround sound: the rendering of height information through additional speakers in the upper part of the A-pillar literally takes this experience to a new dimension.
